What is an appraisal?

The appraisal process begins with you and the insurance company each hiring an appraiser. The two appraisers then choose a third appraiser as the umpire. Your appraiser and the company's appraiser make their own estimates of your loss. If they are different, the umpire makes the final decision, which is binding on both you and the company. You are responsible for the expenses of the appraiser you hire and for half of the umpire's expenses. Check your policy for any deadlines to demand appraisal. If you need help finding insurance appraisal services in Texas, tap the START HERE button below.

What else do I need to do?

You will need to send a letter to your insurance company demanding they settle the claim in appraisal and naming us as your appraiser. We will send you a link to a pre designed letter once we receive your form submission below.

Once they receive your letter they have 20 days to name their appraiser, if they don’t please email them and remind them. It is that easy!

If they object to your demand and/or still refuse to name their appraiser in the allotted time you will need to call us at 469-831-9004 and our Dallas home, damage, and claim inspectors will review your claim with you and assist you.
